Paolo Vercellini, M.D.
Paolo Vercellini MD is Associate Professor and Chief, Benign Gynecological Surgery Service of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Milan. He obtained his Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
His research interests include the pathogenesis and treatment of endometriosis, medical and surgical therapies for uterine leiomyomas, pathogenesis of chronic pelvic pain, diagnosis and therapy of menorrhagia, hysteroscopic surgery for intrauterine disorders, and abdominal, vaginal and endoscopic surgery for benign gynecological diseases and genital malformations. He has authored over 200 publications and is recognized for his scholarly review of the epidemiology and clinical research in endometriosis. He is a member of American Fertility Society and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embriology as well as many other Italian and international societies. He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for many international journals.
