David L. Olive, M.D.
David L. Olive, M.D., is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Wisconsin, Madison. Dr. Olive is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, with a subspecialty in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Following his graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Dr. Olive earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, and a reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina.
The author of hundreds of book chapters, abstracts, and articles, Dr. Olive’s research has been published in numerous scientific journals including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility, and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine. As Principal and Coinvestigator, his extensive research has focused on fibroids, ovulation induction endometriosis. He has lectured internationally on a wide variety of topics including evidence-based obstetrics and gynecology. He is a founding Editorial Board Member for the Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of the Society for Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the Journal of Clinical Research, and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for a dozen other journals.
Dr. Olive is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation.
